Example: Used to
detect 0.8MM of steel in 1 gallon steel containers to 10lbs. frozen blocks of fish for fine
bones.

detect missing items within packages (cereal boxes without toy or sample and cake and pasta mixes to insure that all the mixing bags are present).
Example: Used at ammunition
manufacturers to examine x-ray timing mechanisms to insure they are properly seated, in the past this was done with film which required random sampling now the manufacturer screens 100% of
their production run.
Example: A
manufacturer of truck axle
housings who automatically welds long seams that
run the length of the housings. An x-ray system at the
end of the welding line provides a real-time image of
every weld. Welds previously were ultrasonically tested
for weld integrity manually.
Example: A
manufacturer inspects electrical
connections encased in plastic or other
materials. In this application an x-ray system displays
results immediately on the production line. Images are
stored in formats that include VHS/PAL, CD, or hard
